Nielsen moved with his family up to Maine after developing houses in his native Connecticut. He conceived the concept of the eMonitor in part to address some real-world needs of a community he was planning that would share a renewable energy system.

Carsten Steenberg

Carsten, who has an MBA from Copenhagen Business School, leveraged his extensive experience in a range of technologies to lead the initial development of the product. Carsten had previously headed up US operations of network communications technology firm i-Data and Phase One, and also served as President of Alternative Power Generation, a developer of renewable energy. He remains actively involved in the day-to-day operations of the company.

The founders and current management team are passionate about the need to address the energy and climate challenges facing the world, and believe in the “3P” approach to corporate management: People, Profits and Planet.

With this in mind, we are focused on building a company that can help drive energy efficiency and spread the adoption of renewable energy and alternative fuel vehicles, while providing people with comfort, convenience, security and savings.

We are continuing to add to our team with individuals who share this vision - and are committed to delivering state-of-the art technology solutions that achieve it.
